Blood Borne Pathogens
(Annual Training)

Course Description: Welcome to the annual training for bloodborne pathogens for the State of Nevada, Department of Public Safety, Division of Parole and Probation. 

In this course the student will become familiar with bloodborne pathogens and the techniques of eliminating and reducing exposure.  The instructor will engage the student in examining several pathogens, including hepatitis A (HAV), hepatitis B (HBV), hepatitis C (HCV), and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).  Additionally, this course will provide the sudent with an overview of tuberculosis (TB) and Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus (MRSA).
