This class will help speakers of all experience levels develop and refine their public speaking skills.  Students will use adult learning principles as the foundation for designing presentations and analyzing their audience so they can have maximum impact.  The course will cover the three major areas of public speaking: content—prioritizing material, supporting points, etc.; structure—organizing the introduction, body, and conclusion; and delivery—using your face, body, voice, and space effectively, controlling speech anxiety, etc.  Students will learn visual aid design tips as well as basic and intermediate use of PowerPoint.  All topic areas will include hands-on practice and individualized feedback.
